Emily Irene VanCamp was originally looking to become a dancer, but following a trip to Katie's studio on Ladies Room, she became more attracted to acting. While taking classes in acting, she also landed the roles of guest stars on TV shows. Some of the shows she had starred in among other ones were Are You afraid of the Dark? Radio Active and Dice. VanCamp had a big breakthrough in his career after being cast on Glory Days, the WB mystery horror show. Though receiving positive reviews the series' low rating ultimately caused it to be canceled after only nine episodes. Actually, the 12th of May 1986 born actress was quick to secure another part on Everwood as one of its principal actors Amy Abbott. This role brought her nominations for a Young Artist Award and four Teen Choice Awards.
